George H. Jepson, a former paper mill executive, died Saturday in Danville Regional Medical Center, Danville, Va., after a long illness. He was 80.
Mr. Jepson was born in Buffalo and graduated from the University of Buffalo with a degree in business administration.
He worked at Hudson Pulp & Paper Co. in Palatka, Fla., first as a personnel manager, then moving up to vice president. He retired in 1980.
Mr. Jepson served in the Army Air Force's 2nd Air Division as a gunner during World War II and was a member of the 2nd Air Division Association. He was an avid reader.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, the former Audrey Pfau of Danville; a daughter, Linda J. Willen of Arlington, Va.; and two sisters, Anita Glebe of the Town of Tonawanda, and Joan Ingram of San Dimas, Calif.
A graveside service and burial will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Acacia Park Cemetery, Pendleton.
