Two men have been arrested on drug charges after unrelated investigations by the Erie County Sheriff's Department, Sheriff Patrick M. Gallivan announced Tuesday.
Officers from the Narcotics and Intelligence Bureau worked undercover, buying cocaine from both men at local nightspots, the sheriff said. The men were taken into custody on indictment warrants signed by State Supreme Court Justice Russell P. Buscaglia.
Charged with third-degree criminal possession and sale of a controlled substance was Albert J. Chase, 35, of Buffalo. Charged with fifth-degree criminal possession and sale was Daniel P. Zuppa, 31, of Cheektowaga. Both were remanded to the county Holding Center pending arraignment.
