Maryvale reviewing policy manual
The Maryvale School Board Monday night began the task of reviewing the district's inches-thick policy manual.
Superintendent Gary L. Brader said an update of the manual has not been done for a decade. Doing the chore bit by bit each week will probably take the School Board until the end of the year, he said.
Brader assigned the first few sections of the manual, comprising the bylaws, to board members to take home and study for Monday's meeting. At that time, board members will ask Brader any questions they have on the policy.
Each week, the five board members will receive another section of the policy manual to review with an eye to updating.
