Erwin Konrad, 92, died Thursday (Feb. 22, 2001) in his Java Lake Road home.
Born in Buffalo, he graduated from Lafayette High School and was a longtime member of the West Side Rowing Club, serving as treasurer for many years.
For many years, he worked for the former Marine Trust Co. and served as vice president of Iroquois Beverage Corp.
Konrad moved from Buffalo to Arcade in the 1960s. He served as manager of both Western New York Offset Press and Butternut Press in Victor. He also worked as a bookkeeper for James R. Shaw in Chaffee and as tax collector for the Pioneer Central School District.
Konrad was active in local organizations, including the Arcade Library Board, Beaver Meadow Nature Preserve, the Izaak Walton League.
He married Mary Mowr in 1937. She died in 1996.
Survivors include two sons, Bruce of Sparta, N.J., and Peter of Warren, Mich.; a daughter, Linda Konrad-Byers of Ewing, N.J.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held.
