CONSTANCE A. WEISBECK, SATTLER'S BUYER

A memorial Mass for Constance Adele Weisbeck, a lifelong resident of Alden and a retired Sattler's Department Store buyer, will be offered at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Sandridge Road, Alden.

Miss Weisbeck, 77, died Thursday (Feb. 22, 2001) in Buffalo General Hospital after a long illness.

She graduated from Alden High School in 1941 and worked for Sattler's for more than 20 years. For many of those years she was a toy buyer, a job that made her popular with her nieces and nephews because she received a discount on items she purchased.

Miss Weisbeck was active in the Alden Senior Citizens, serving as vice president, social director and head of the crafts program. She was a member of the Town Line Fire Company Auxiliary and the Ladies of Charity. She was a volunteer at Brothers of Mercy facilities.

Survivors include a sister, Agnes O'Keefe of Niagara Falls, and two brothers, James of East Bloomfield and David of Cody, Wyo.

She donated her body to the University at Buffalo Anatomical Gift Program.
