Years after new episodes of "Little House on the Prairie" stopped appearing on television, Melissa Gilbert still has fans who care a little too much about "Half-Pint."
Gilbert, who played Laura Ingalls Wilder from 1974 to 1983 on the drama that now airs in syndicated reruns, said people regularly stalk her and her husband, actor Bruce Boxleitner.
"The whole religious undertone of 'Little House' gets stuck in their heads," the 36-year-old actress said in the March 5 issue of Us Weekly magazine. "One of them believes I am the child of Christ and feels I exude such purity and wholesomeness on television that I should be like that (in real life), not living a life of sin with the men I've been with."
Gilbert is well-known for her six-year engagement to actor Rob Lowe in the 1980s, but she also had a brief fling with Tom Cruise in 1981.
"I was only 17 -- he gave me butterflies in my tummy, and there was a lot of making out on the couch in my mom's living room," she said.
