Richard Adams, 77, of Bradenton, Fla., a retired sheet metal worker and veteran, died Thursday (Feb. 22, 2001) in his home.
A Hamburg native, Adams worked for more than 25 years at Buffalo Sheet Metals. He moved to Florida in 1985.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps in New Guinea.
He was a member of the Kirby Stewart Post 24, American Legion, in Bradenton.
He is survived by his wife, Maxine; three stepdaughters, Darlene Hovey of Lexington, Ky., Dawn Waites of Sarasota, Fla., and Dina Tracy of Bradenton; two sons, Daniel of Indianapolis, Ind., and Craig of Ontario; a stepson, Richard Tracy of Sarasota, Fla.; one brother, George of Palmetto, Fla.; and 12 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held in Hamburg at a later date.
