Carolyn A. Sciortino, 65, a resident of Niagara Towers, died Wednesday (Feb. 14, 2001) at home after a brief illness.

Born Carolyn Dorato in Niagara Falls, she attended local schools.

She was employed in the housekeeping department at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center and the hospital's Schoellkopf Health Care Facility for 17 years. She retired in 1996.

Sciortino was a member of the Italian Sons and Daughters of America Cataract Lodge 240. She was a Yankees fan and enjoyed crocheting, bingo and visiting the casino.

Her husband, Thomas C., died in 1998.

Survivors include four brothers, Paul J. Dorato Jr. and George Dorato, both of Niagara Falls, Robert J. Dorato of the Town of Niagara and Frank F. Dorato of Buffalo.

Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. today in M.J. Colucci and Son Funeral Chapel, 468 19th St., Niagara Falls. Burial will be in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston.
