A memorial service for Louise C. Kraska, 50, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 950 Losson Road, Cheektowaga. Burial was in Omaha, Neb.
Mrs. Kraska, a native of Buffalo, died Jan. 17, 2001, in her home in Omaha after a six-month battle with cervical cancer.
Born Louise C. Kantor in Buffalo, Mrs. Kraska attended grammar school in Buffalo and then moved to Detroit, where she completed her secondary-school education. She returned to the Buffalo area and worked for Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Western New York until she married.
She spent a few years in West Seneca before moving with her husband, Bernard, to Omaha about 25 years ago. While there, she did youth volunteer work.
Surviving are her husband and a son, Kevin, both of Omaha; her parents, Eugene and Alice Kantor of Bensalem, Pa.; and two brothers, Gary Kantor of Bensalem and Ken Kantor of York, Pa.
