Bernard Buzyniski, a retired truck driver and Lockport resident, died Tuesday (Feb. 13, 2001) in Lockport Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was 84.
He was born in Lockport and worked as a truck driver for Norton Laboratories for 44 years until his retirement in 1980.
Buzyniski was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
He also was a member of the Lockport Conservation Club, where he served as sergeant-at-arms; the National Rifle Association; Tonawanda Sportsmen's Club and Niagara County Sportsmen's Club; and the United Auto Workers and its Pistol Club.
His wife, Nellie Ryba Buzyniski, died in 1996.
Survivors include a son, Bernard Jr. of Florida; a sister, Helen Kagles of Lockport; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Church, 391 Market St.
