Veronica Pierog, a former packer for Nabisco Co. and a former department store clerk, died Monday (Feb. 12, 2001) in Buffalo General Hospital. She was 75.
Born Veronica Skiba in Niagara Falls, she attended local schools.
Mrs. Pierog worked at the Nabisco Shredded Wheat plant for three years and then worked for three years at Neisner's department store on Falls Street and for eight years at Jenss department store on Main Street before becoming a homemaker.
She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
She enjoyed bingo.
She is survived by her husband, Alex.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Thursday in Prince of Peace Church, 1055 Military Road, after prayers at 9:30 in Zajac Funeral Home, 319 24th St. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston.
