Norma Jean Sweet, a retired inspector at Harrison Radiator Division, General Motors Corp., died Monday (Feb. 12, 2001) in her home after a long illness. She was 72.
She was born Norma Jean Budde in Hartland and lived in Appleton and Fort Myers, Fla., before moving to Newfane last year.
Mrs. Sweet worked at Harrison Radiator in Lockport as a floor inspector, retiring in 1988 after 24 years' service.
She had been a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Ridgewood.
Mrs. Sweet enjoyed bingo, reading and crossword puzzles.
Her husband, J. Norman, died last March.
Mrs. Sweet is survived by two daughters, Bonnie King of Newfane and Shirley Brown of Gasport; a son, Michael of Newfane; a sister, Janice Quinn, and a brother, Lavern Budde, both of Appleton; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Rutland-Corwin Funeral Home, 2670 Main St. Burial will be in Corwin Cemetery.
