NIAGARA FALLS -- Vandals damaged the wooden exterior of an 85th Street home by spraying it with black paint sometime Sunday, police said.

The front area of the house was sprayed with paint, police said. No damage estimate was available.

Two cars vandalized
on Weston Avenue in Falls

NIAGARA FALLS -- Two cars parked on Weston Avenue were damaged Monday, police said.

A 21st Street woman reported that a rear tire was cut on her vehicle, resulting in about $70 worth of damage.

A Weston Avenue resident said a window was scratched on his car and a foreign substance was poured into the gas tank. Damage to his vehicle was estimated at $450, police said.

$600 in bad checks
passed in Falls restaurant

NIAGARA FALLS -- A Buffalo Avenue business owner was advised Monday to seek an arrest warrant against a man who passed 13 bad checks at the facility between Christmas and last week.

Police said that more than $600 worth of bad checks were presented at J.D.'s Corner restaurant, all against an account that had been closed.
