Tom Bogdanowicz, 58, of Amherst, a retired engineer, died Jan. 29, 2001, in Buffalo General Hospital after a long illness.
Bogdanowicz, a Buffalo native, earned a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering and a master's degree in engineering from the University at Buffalo.
He worked as an engineer for TX RX Systems in Angola, retiring in 1996. Before that, he worked as a manager for Dunlop Tire Corp.
Bogdanowicz was a volunteer with the Fresh Air Fund.
He is survived by his companion, Gisela Holcomb; three sons, Edwin of Kansas City, Kan., Bob of Jamestown and Brian of Chattanooga, Tenn.; a sister, Betty Hoepfinger of Atlanta; and a brother, David of Kenmore.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Beach-Tuyn Funeral Home, 5541 Main St., Williamsville.
