Jennifer Lopez poked fun at her Bronx roots, her diva status and her famous Grammy Awards dress, but one subject was off limits on "Saturday Night Live."
There were no jokes about boyfriend Puffy Combs or his current trial on gun possession and bribery charges stemming from their night out at a New York nightclub more than a year ago.
Lopez performed in skits as a scratching, clawing diva, as a struggling girl group singer showing off her shared one-bedroom apartment on a mock version of MTV's "Cribs" and as a tough co-host of a mythical "Good Morning Bronx" TV news show.
On "Good Morning Bronx," she angrily separated two men fighting over unpaid rent. "You are not going to mess up my chance of being a Puerto Rican Connie Chung," she wailed.
