William J. Klahs, 65, a former business manager for local auto dealerships, died Saturday (Feb. 10, 2001) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital after a long illness.
He was born in Niagara Falls and was a 1953 graduate of Niagara Falls High School.
An Army veteran, Klahs was stationed in Germany from 1958 to 1960.
Klahs also worked for the Motors Holding Division of General Motors in Detroit for 10 years before retiring in 1996.
He was a member of the Elks Club.
Klahs is survived by his wife, the former Shirley Norton; a daughter, Susan Tryninewski of Niagara Falls; a son, Kevin of Twin Lakes, Wis.; five grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Peter's Catholic Church, 620 Center St., following prayers at 10 in Rhoney Funeral Home, 901 Cayuga St. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
