Fred C. Adams, 61, a former construction worker, died Sunday (Feb. 4, 2001) in Buffalo General Hospital after a yearlong illness.
The Buffalo resident was a native of Sidon, Miss. He was a member of Laborers Local 210 for many years until being forced to retire because of disability about 12 years ago.
He is survived by his wife, Clarice Newell; his father, Clifford, and stepmother, Luretha, both of Buffalo; seven sisters, Daisy Kirkwood, Georgia, Betty Williams, Sarah Grisson, Johnnie M., Mural Patterson and Lois, all of Buffalo; and seven brothers, Westly, Joe Willie, Willie Earl, Gilbert and Charles, all of Buffalo, James Fair of Memphis, Tenn., and Henry Fair of Kosciusko, Miss.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in St. Mark Church of God in Christ, 1221 Michigan Ave. Burial will be in St. Matthews Cemetery, West Seneca.
