William T. Allen, 70, a retired General Motors Corp. employee, died Sunday (Feb. 4, 2001) in Waterfront Health Care Center after a long illness.
Born in Durham, N.C., he moved to Buffalo in 1948 and served in the Army during the Korean War.
Allen retired from GM's axle plant on East Delavan Avenue in 1988 after 35 years of service.
Surviving are his wife, Joann; two sons, Gregory and William T. Jr., both of Buffalo; three daughters, Shirley Saunders of Rocky Mount, N.C., and Gail Jackson and Doris, both of Buffalo; two stepsons, Kevin Harris and Steven Harris, both of Buffalo; and two stepdaughters, Regina Harris and Tamela Harris, both of Buffalo.
Services will be held at noon Friday in Antioch Baptist Church, 1327 Fillmore Ave. Burial will be in Forest Lawn.
