Services and burial were held Saturday in Detroit for former Buffalo resident Lorenzo Skinner Jr.
Skinner, 64, died Jan. 29, 2001, after a brief illness. He was visiting relatives in Buffalo at the time.
He attended Technical High School and later served in the Air Force.
Skinner worked at Westinghouse Electric Corp. in Cheektowaga and moved to Detroit in the 1970s. He worked for the Wayne County Road Commission.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Bradley; five daughters, Renee and Vanessa Harp, both of Buffalo, Candace of Atlanta, Jackie of Buffalo and Asha of Detroit; two sons, Maurice of Niagara Falls and Brian Cook of Los Angeles; three stepsons, Calvin Bradley, Michael Bradley and Edward Bradley, all of Detroit; a stepdaughter, Rose Bradley of Detroit; five brothers, Clark, Maceo, Jeffrey and Kevin, all of Buffalo, and William of Boston; four sisters, Lovell Muhammed, Darlene Muhammed, Jacquelynn Skinner and Stacey Gilmer, all of Buffalo; and 17 grandchildren.
