Two of three East Aurora village trustees who are up for re-election March 20 announced Monday night that they will be seeking another two-year term on the Village Board.
Trustees Christine Peters and David DiPietro said they will seek re-election in next month's village election. Peters is running for her fourth term; while DiPietro is seeking a second term.
Trustee Donald Nieman, whose term on the board also is expiring, would not comment on his plans, except to say that he would make an announcement this weekend. Nieman was the top vote-getter in the 1999 trustee race. He previously served one year as trustee in 1997 and lost a bid for a board seat in 1998.
Nominating petitions for trustee candidates are due to Village Hall by 4:30 pm. Feb. 13.
