Roger Allen Griffith, 79, died Friday (Feb. 2, 2001) in Wyoming County Nursing Facility, Warsaw, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Warsaw, he was a part-owner and service station manager of W.W. Griffith Co. for more than 35 years prior to his retirement in 1977.
Griffith was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Warsaw and the Warsaw Volunteer Exempt Firemen.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, the former Cecelia Gallett; four sons, Richard of Varysburg, Paul of Seattle, Bradley of Fort Collins, Colo., and Mark of San Antonio, Texas; three brothers, James of Canandaigua, Thomas of Findlay, Ohio, and Michael; two sisters, Mary Weber and Barbara Moag, both of Wyoming; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Michael's Church, North Main Street. Burial will be in Wyoming Cemetery.
