Dorothy Tiranno, 75, of Williamsville, a homemaker, died Thursday (Feb. 1, 2001) in Millard Fillmore Hospital after a lengthy illness.
One of 14 children, the former Dorothy Ortolano is remembered by her family as someone "who touched all those who came into her life with her warm and caring ways."
Mrs. Tiranno spent the last eight years in Las Vegas before relocating recently to the Buffalo area.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Raymond; two daughters, Marlene Snedden of Clarence and Janice Silverman of Williamsville; a son, Raymond of Las Vegas; seven brothers, Myron, Charles, James, John, Paul, Joseph and Thomas Ortolano; five sisters, Catherine Trifiro of California, Mary Walls of Texas, Theresa Driskel of Ohio, Margaret Horton of Pennsylvania and Sharon Cretacci; and five grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Monday in St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 200 St. Gregory Court, Williamsville. Entombment will be in Mount Olivet Mausoleum, Town of Tonawanda.
