Hillary Rodham Clinton today planned to interview potential media strategists at the White House for her expected run for the Senate next year in New York.
The strategists will not include Hank Morris, the Democratic consultant who declined an invitation to today's session but did not say why.
Morris was instrumental in then-Rep. Charles E. Schumer's win over Alfonse M. D'Amato, the Republican incumbent, in last year's Senate race in New York State.
The group will include David Doak, who was the media consultant for Gray Davis' winning campaign for governor in California last year and for David Dinkins when he won the New York City mayor's race in 1989 over Rudolph Giuliani.
Giuliani is the potential Republican candidate for the New York Senate seat being vacated by Daniel Patrick Moynihan, a Democrat.
The group also will include David Axelrod, who served as media consultant for state Comptroller H. Carl McCall.
