APPLES EVERYWHERE

Everyone's favorite fall dessert:

APPLE CRISP

5medium apples

2tablespoons lemon juice

1/2 cup flour

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup butter

1teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
Peel apples, core and slice into a 9-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with lemon juice.

Combine flour, brown sugar and cinnamon. Cut in butter until mixture becomes crumbly. Spread or sprinkle over apples and bake in a preheated 375-degree oven for about 30 minutes until lightly brown. Serve hot or cold, with ice cream if desired. Makes about 6 servings.
