William J. Fusillo, 59, of Spallino Towers, who had worked for 23 years as a postal carrier in Los Angeles, died Monday (Sept. 27, 1999) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after a brief illness.
He was born in Niagara Falls and attended local schools.
Fusillo moved to Los Angeles in the early 1960s and moved back to Niagara Falls in 1986.
He had received a heart transplant 13 years ago.
Fusillo had worked as a postal carrier from the early 1960s until the mid-1980s.
He was an avid sports fan and was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Emily Clarke of Redondo Beach, Calif., and Mary Ann Destino of Lewiston; and five brothers, Lawrence of Ransomville, Frank of Garden Grove, Calif., Ernest of Los Angeles, Peter of Fountain Valley, Calif., and Michael.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:15 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph's Church, 1401 Pine Ave.
