Marion L. Ward, 70, a retired certified public accountant who worked for Lathan, Lumsden & McCormick in Lockport, died Sunday (Sept. 26, 1999) in Newfane Inter-Community Memorial Hospital.

Miss Ward was a native of East Aurora and had worked for 35 years at the firm before her retirement. She became a certified public accountant in 1957.

She graduated from Syracuse University, where she earned a degree in accounting, and from Kenmore High School.

She attended North Ridge United Methodist Church and was an avid bowler.

Survivors include a brother, Robert L. of Issaquah, Wash., and two sisters, Elizabeth W. Cheverie of Medina and Margery W. Newkirk of Mukiteo, Wash.

A memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Wednesday in North Ridge United Methodist Church, 3930 North Ridge Road, Lockport. Burial will be private in Acacia Park Cemetery, Pendleton.
