Lovina Jacobs, 91, of Mount Hope Road, one of the oldest residents of the Tuscarora Indian Reservation, died Sunday (Sept. 26, 1999) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital after a brief illness.
Miss Jacobs was born on the Tuscarora Indian Reservation and was a member of the Beaver Clan.
She and her mother made and sold beadwork in the Niagara Reservation State Park at Niagara Falls. She also designed the crown for the Tuscarora Princess.
Miss Jacobs was a member of the Tuscarora Baptist Church, the Tuscarora Temperance Society and the Language Preservation Committee.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Tuscarora Baptist Church, 2088 Mount Hope Road.
