Anthony Ichodaro (Traditional) shared Most Valuable Player honors and the Dewey Street team from Buffalo captured the championship Monday in the War at the Shore AAU basketball tournament in Atlantic City, N.J.

Buffalo defeated host Atlantic City, 96-85, in the championship game. In previous games, the Dewey Streeters downed Sam Rines of Philadelphia, 83-52; Roosevelt PAL of Long Island, 57-47 and Perth Amboy, N.J., 63-51.

Ichodaro, who shared MVP honors with Shieku Kabba of New York City, had 19 points in the championship game. Quadir Habeeb (Turner/Carroll) contributed 20 points and 20 rebounds to the cause while Jermaine Bell, a 6-foot-10 freshman at Rochester's Ben Franklin High had 10 points. Kenny Jackson, last year's Rochester Player of the Year, had 15 points and four steals.
