Women over age 40 who have not had a mammogram in the past 12 months are invited to receive one during a mammography screening program next Monday through Oct. 11 in the Walden Galleria.
The breast cancer awareness project is sponsored by Independent Health Foundation and Kaufmann's Department Store. Clinical services will be provided in the Health on Wheels mobile unit of Westfield Memorial Hospital. Mammogram results will be available within 72 hours. All insurances will be accepted, but insurance is not necessary for participation.
The schedule is: Monday, noon to 5 p.m.; next Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Oct. 6 and 7, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Oct. 8, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Oct. 9, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Oct. 10, noon to 4 p.m.; Oct. 11, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Appointments are recommended, although walk-ins will be accepted.
