Rita A. DeVole, 72, of Elm Street, a former school bus driver, died Saturday (Sept. 25, 1999) in Millard Fillmore Hospital, Buffalo, after a long illness.

The former Rita Rutkowski was born in Buffalo and graduated from St. Ann's School.

Mrs. DeVole drove school buses for Ridge Road Express of Lockport for 27 years.

She was a member of Pendleton Center United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Arthur P.; two sons, James B. of St. Peters, Mo., and Kenneth P.; four daughters, Catherine A. of Waterloo, Deborah A. and Madeleine, both of Lockport, and Diane M. Haseley; one brother, Anthony Rutkowski of Clearwater, Fla.; a sister, Adele Mordino of Amherst; 10 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Pendleton Center United Methodist Church, 6864 Campbell Blvd., Pendleton.
