MOTORCYCLIST, 60, INJURED IN CRASH

A Cheektowaga man suffered upper chest and shoulder injuries when the motorcycle he was driving failed to negotiate a turn on Route 241, veering off into a field and throwing him from the vehicle, the Cattaraugus County sheriff's department said Sunday.

Ronald Vacanti, 60, of Sandra Drive, was traveling south on Route 241 about 11:24 a.m. Saturday when his motorcycle failed to make the turn at Cowens Corners. He was taken by Conewango Ambulance to WCA Hospital in Jamestown where he was treated and released.
