Larry D. Townsend, 52, a longtime resident of the Newfane and Olcott areas, died unexpectedly Thursday (Sept. 23, 1999) in his East Avenue home.
A native of Lockport, he had worked for Knouse Foods and also at Timkey Pontiac in Lockport, where he was a car detailer.
He served in the Navy in 1964-65 as an airman.
His interests included the Civil War and baseball.
Survivors include a son, Michael of Charlotte, N.C.; a daughter, Lori Robinson of Lockport; his father, Robert of Olcott; a brother, Dan of Appleton; a sister, Shelly Stranges of Newfane; and a grandchild.
Services were held today in Rutland-Corwin Funeral Home, 2670 Main St. Burial was in Corwin Cemetery.
