Traffic patterns on the Niagara Thruway are changing again as a $26.6 million reconstruction of the elevated section in downtown Buffalo continues.
The Thruway Authority has announced that northbound traffic has shifted to the two far-right lanes as the final stages of the project begin.
Several ramps also have reopened. The authority said the northbound exit ramp at Church Street (Exit 7) reopened Sunday morning, while the northbound entrance ramp at Church was expected to reopen by 3 p.m. today.
The Skyway (Route 5) exits to the northbound Niagara Thruway and Seneca Street will remain closed until mid-October. The southbound entrance ramp at Church Street will remain closed until the project is completed in late November.
