A Buffalo News editorial denounced Patrick Buchanan as a "xenophobe," "hate-laced," "anti-Semitic," "hateful," "homophobe," "bigot." After all that, The News had the nerve to call Pat's rhetoric "virulent."
The News has long lamented that so few Americans bother to vote. Maybe one big reason is that both major parties have refused to give voters a real choice on major issues like foreign aid, NATO expansion, intervention in foreign wars, immigration, appeasing China, selling out U.S. workers to the global plantation of NAFTA and the World Trade Organization, racial and gender preferences, and so on.
Al Gore and George W. Bush agree on all those policies; why aren't the voters entitled to an open debate and real choice on all these questions?
