Game show host Bob Barker is ready to head back home to California after undergoing surgery to clear a blocked artery in his neck.
The "Price Is Right" host was admitted to George Washington University Hospital on Sept. 16 after complaining of fatigue. Tests later revealed his left carotid artery was 85 percent blocked. He underwent the surgery Monday.
A longtime animal-rights activist, Barker, 75, was in Washington to lobby for a bill that would ban circuses from using elephants.
His illness is not expected to interfere with production of his CBS daytime show because it is taped well in advance. Barker has been host of the program since 1972.
