Esther Golding, a former school teacher and accomplished pianist, died Thursday (Sept. 23, 1999) in Schofield Residence in Kenmore. She was 99.
Mrs. Golding was born in the Jefferson County Village of Henderson. She attended Belleville Academy and graduated from Brockport State Teachers College in about 1919. She taught grade school in Jefferson County before moving to Kenmore in 1947.
She and her late husband, Ray C. Golding, were active members in Kenmore Baptist Church. Mrs. Golding played the piano at churches and homes in the area.
Her husband died in 1958. Mrs. Golding is survived by a son, Frederick J. of Kenmore; a daughter, Jane E. Joslin of Kenmore; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. in Kenmore Baptist Church, Delaware and Wardman roads. Burial will be in Woodville Cemetery in Jefferson County.
