Efforts were continuing today to identify a bicyclist who was critically injured in a collision with a car Thursday afternoon at Main and North streets, authorities said.
The light-skinned African American teen-ager was knocked unconscious in the accident, said Officer Anthony Douglas of the Accident Investigation Unit.
"He is 5 feet, 10 inches, 150 pounds and has a tattoo on his upper left arm, and it says 'Nina,'T" Douglas said in describing the victim, who remained hospitalized in Erie County Medical Center.
The bicyclist rode from between two cars into the pathway of a car driven by Rodney Gethers of Verdun Avenue.
No charges were filed.
