Charges against a Hamburg man who was accused of operating a fireworks laboratory in his home have been adjourned in contemplation of dismissal.
Village Justice Michael Manley adjourned the Perry Ross case for six months. Ross, 40, had been charged with unlawful dealing with fireworks after authorities raided his home June 15 and found fireworks.
Ross was acquainted with Robert Pitchure of Hamburg and John Zuraf of Orchard Park, who were killed in a fireworks explosion at Pitchure's home in June. Town and village police, along with members of the Erie County Sheriff's Department and Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, conducted a raid on Ross' residence several days after the fatal explosion.
