The Weinberg Campus, a multilevel health-care and residential facility at 2700 N. Forest Road, Getzville, needs volunteers to help in its delicatessen and gift shop, to drive an indoor shuttle, to water plants, to mend clothing for residents and to help with filing.
Others are needed to assist with programs and activities, including skilled nursing, medical and social day programs and in assisted living apartments for individuals with Alzheimer's and early stage dementia. The Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site, 641 Delaware Ave., will conduct its annual fall orientation for prospective volunteers from 9:30 a.m. to noon Oct. 4 and 6. The sessions will include registration, a guided tour, an overview of the site's history and that of the life of Theodore Roosevelt, as well as an explanation of volunteer opportunities.
