A Seventh Street woman was arrested Wednesday after she tried to jump out the kitchen window of her second-floor apartment and knocked down a detective, causing him the suffer a laceration to his right arm, police said.
Vicki L. Nelson, 43, was charged with petit larceny and resisting arrest at 6:48 p.m. after police tried to arrest her for giving her landlord two bad checks, Detective Anthony Conte said.
When police arrived, she refused to come out of her apartment. Officers used Mace but she tried jumping out the window and cut her hand, Conte said. She then struggled with officers, knocking Conte into the refrigerator, cutting him, he said. Conte was treated at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.
