Anna A. Carpenter, 102, of South Academy Street, a lifelong resident of Medina, died Wednesday (Sept. 22, 1999) in her daughter's home after a brief illness.

Born Anna Greene in Royalton, she attended a country school in the former Royalton Center.

A housewife, Mrs. Carpenter enjoyed sewing, baking and knitting.

Before moving into her daughter's home in 1986, she had lived on Orient Street since 1940.

Her husband, Louie, died in 1986.

Survivors include a son, Norman; two daughters, Betty Williams of Waterport and Jessie Hewitt; 21 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Barnes-Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St. Burial will be in Boxwood Cemetery.
