PENNSYLVANIA MAN FACES LOCKPORT LARCENY CHARGES

A man accused of stealing $1,200 from a woman's purse and hoodwinking the customer of his former employer out of $76.86 last summer was arrested Tuesday, Officer Anthony J. Palumbo said.

Thomas E. Nichols Jr., 30, of Coudersport, Pa., was charged with fourth-degree grand
larceny and petit larceny.

Nichols is accused of entering the Pine Street home of Wendy J. Kraus Aug. 6 and taking $1,200 from her purse. He also is accused of approaching Grace Radowsky at her Vermont Avenue home during the summer and collecting the $76 she owed Executive Landscaping Inc. for work that company did on her yard in June. Nichols collected the money several days after he had been fired by Executive Landscaping and didn't turn it over to the company, Palumbo said.
