Non-management employees of the Wyoming County Civil Service Association have a new three-year contract that will immediately raise their pay by 2.8 percent.
The pact, approved by the Wyoming County Board of Supervisors last week, calls for raises of 3 percent in the second and third years. The affected employees have been without a contract since January.
The lawmakers gave the Industrial Development Agency the authority to issue $7.5 million in bonds to Taylor-Pohlman Inc. for construction of the company's new 50,000-square-foot metal-casting plant in Arcade. The plant is expected to employ 70 people.
