The Franklinville Central School Board has appointed Carolyn Lauderbaugh to finish the term of George Trummer, a board member who resigned in July from his second term in office.

Mrs. Lauderbaugh will serve until Trummer's term ends in May.

The board also reviewed a 1998-99 financial audit with Craig Gaume of R.A. Mercer & Co. Gaume said the report reflects several trends evident at other school districts, including state cafeteria fund reimbursements that lag behind rising costs and unreserved fund balances in excess of the recommended cap of 2 percent of the annual operating budget.

Gaume said that the audit represents a "clean opinion" but that procedures for timely deposit of cash receipts could be tightened.
