AFTERMATH OF RAIL CRASH

Cumberland, Md., rescue workers treat some of the 40 people injured Monday when the Amtrak Capitol Limited, bound from Chicago to Washington, D.C., rear-ended a CSX freight train. The freight train was pulling into a rail yard when it was hit by the Amtrak train shortly before noon. Amtrak chartered buses to carry passengers the remaining 136 miles to Washington.
