Former Amherst supervisor Lynn Millane was sworn in Saturday as a commissioner of the New York State Ethics Commission.
The ceremony was held at the Donovan State Office Building downtown.
Mrs. Millane was appointed to the five-member board by Gov. Pataki. She succeeds Angelo A. Constanza of Rochester in a term that expires in 2004.
Commission members -- who don't receive a salary but whose expenses are reimbursed -- meet approximately once a month to answer requests for advisory opinions, consider investigations, adopt rules and regulations, and review recommendations from hearing officers.
