SENTENCING SET IN LARCENY

A Niagara Falls woman who failed to report child-support income and illegally received food stamps and $14,548 in aid from the Niagara County Department of Social Services will be sentenced Oct. 28 by Niagara County Judge Amy J. Fricano.

Cynthia L. Roy, 39, of Lockport Road, pleaded guilty Thursday to fourth-degree grand larceny. The crimes occurred May 1996 and December 1997, authorities said.

She was originally arrested on charges of third-degree grand larceny, first-degree offering a false instrument for filing, and misuse of food stamps.
