Michael J. Montesano III, assistant professor of Southeast Asian studies in National University of Singapore, and his bride, Jin Song, will be at home in the Republic of Singapore after their wedding Sept. 10 at 2:30 p.m. in Christ United Methodist Church, Honolulu, Hawaii.

James and Audrey Song of Honolulu are parents of the bride. Helen Frinsko Montesano of Buffalo and Michael J. Montesano Jr. of Newnan, Ga., are the bridegroom's parents. A reception was given in Sheraton Moana Surfrider.

The bride is a graduate of McKinley High School, Honolulu, Columbia College of Columbia University and has a master's degree from Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University. She has been a research fellow in Asia Pacific Center for Security Studies, Honolulu.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Elmwood Franklin School, Nichols School, Yale University and University of the Philippines. He has two master's degrees and a doctorate from Cornell University. He served in the Peace Corps and was a Fulbright research scholar in Thailand.
