When it comes to pulling the weight around, nobody in the business does it better than Joe Eder of North Collins.
Eder, aboard the Sorrento Express Modified class tractor, has won his third consecutive Grand National Modified tractor pulling title. Eder traveled 30,000 miles and ran in 52 events to capture the honor.
His tractor is not the kind usually seen on typical farms. It is a built-for-racing machine that more resembles a dragster with large wheels. The machine sports four 526-cubic-inch, big-block Chevrolet engines that produce 8,000 horsepower.
