WOMAN INJURED IN CRASH NEAR ANGOLA THRUWAY EXIT

A Fredonia resident suffered arm and head injuries Monday when her car skidded on wet pavement and overturned along the Thruway, Thruway State Police said.

Jenny Borowski was heading west at about 4:40 p.m. when her car hydroplaned during heavy rain, Trooper Dan Krawczyk said. Ms. Borowski lost control of the car, which went down an earthen embankment, rolled and landed upright.

The accident occurred just east of the Angola rest area.

Ms. Borowski, who was traveling alone, was taken to Lake Shore Intercommunity Hospital for treatment of an apparent arm injury and cuts to her head, the trooper said. Her condition was unknown late Monday.

She had been wearing a seat belt, which the trooper cited as the reason Ms. Borowski's
injuries were not more serious.
